Passed peacefully away at his residence, in the presence of his loving wife, on Wednesday, May 21, 2008. Francis Joseph Coady, age 88 years, retired City Inspector - St. John's Municipal Council. He was a member of the 57th Newfoundland Heavy Artillery (166th Field Regiment). Predeceased by his infant daughter Eileen; his parents: Thomas and Ruth; sister Kathleen (Mike Power) and nephew Fr. Brian Coady. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife of 64 years, Eileen (nee Blyde); his son Frank (Margaret Rose); his daughters: Dianne and Rosemary; beloved grandchildren: John (Michelle), Frank (Colette), Anne Marie (Dwayne Hickey), Ed (Krista) and Paul; cherished great-grandchildren: Mitchell and Matthew Coady (their mother Elaine), Nicholas and MacKayla Coady, Ryan Hickey, and Ethan Coady. Also leaving to mourn his loving sister Mary, special neighbours Dot Tobin, Madonna Wheeler and Eileen Hawco, as well as many relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Friday from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, May 26 at 12 noon from the Basilica of St. John the Baptist.
