DURHAM – Bruno Hans Rauh, 73, Durham, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Altdenteich, Czechoslovakia, he was a son of the late George and Franziska (Long) Rauh. Bruno was a well known and was respected contractor, having owned and operated a trucking and excavating company for many years. Bruno was a hard working family man. He will be sadly missed by children, Brigitte Haller (Helmut), Germany; Sonja Carree (Jerry), Salem; Franziska Foance, Durham; Marlena Halverson, Alberta; Hans (Colleen), Durham; Ericka, West River; Helga Fraser (Gary), Loch Broom; Bruno Jr. Hans, at home; loving partner, Darlene Ruth Fraser, at home; 16 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred, Adolf, Hans; and sister, Sonja, Europe. Bruno was predeceased by his wife, Mae Irene (Thompson), in 1975; and brother, Osward. Cremation has taken place. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. His memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville. Interment will be in the Durham Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
