NEW GLASGOW/BROOKFIELD – Clinton William Jordan, age 25 of New Glasgow/Brookfield passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 26th, 2008, in Larry’s River, as a result of a boating accident. Born in Truro, he was the son of Kathryn (Fraser) and Ian Campbell, New Glasgow and William Jordan, Alberta. Clinton grew up in South Maitland then moved to New Glasgow. Graduating from New Glasgow High School, Clinton then moved to Alberta where he worked to become a journeyman bricklayer with K. Hanson Bricklaying. Clinton was a hard worker always enjoying his job. Clinton played minor hockey, high school hockey and high school rugby. An avid lover of the outdoors he enjoyed snowboarding, camping and fishing, and also enjoyed the company of many good friends. He was an adherent of the Union Presbyterian Church, Thorburn. Surviving are his parents, Kathryn and Ian Campbell, New Glasgow; his father, William (Billy) Jordan, Alberta; brothers, Lawrence, Edmonton, Alberta; Brandon, New Glasgow/Fredericton; sister, Christal (Brian), Truro; grandmothers, Myrna Jordan, Truro; Maxine Archibald, Hilden; and Helen Campbell, Scotsburn; four special nephews: Kyle, Mark, Anderson and Preston; a niece, Jessie; great-aunt, Annie Henderson, Thorburn; a number of aunts, uncles and cousins; his chosen bother, Bart; and lifelong friend, Barry; his buddy, Tango. He was predeceased by grandmother, Edith Fraser; and grandfathers: John Fraser and Andrew Campbell, Mel Jordan and Don Archibald The family will receive visitors from 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. from the Union Presbyterian Church with Rev. Jeff Lackie officiating. Burial will be in the Thorburn Cemetery.
