(Gertie) June 13, 1928 - May 21, 2008. Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Health Sciences Centre surrounded by her loving family and friends. Predeceased by her husband Bernard and her children: Mary Frances and Aloyusius. Leaving with fond and loving memories four sons: Eddie (Karen), N.B., Tony (Mary) Zella, Brampton, Ont., Tommy (Violet) and Bernie (Catherine); daughter Hilda Connors (Leo); five grandchildren: Randy (Trina), Wandalee (Ian), Ronnie (Krista), Antonia (Stanley) Bennett and Angela (Michael); eight great-grandchildren: Chelsey, Cassidy, Daniel, A.J., Aiden Michael, Rebecca and Anthony Thomas; sister Kitty Power; brother Eddie Kelly; sisters-in-law Mary and Mildred Kelly, Stella Williams, Lorraine Jordan (Will), Mercedes MacRae, Jenny Power (Herb) and Joan Power, Wabush; brothers-in-law: Paul (Collie), Clarence (Violet) and Gordon (Betty); many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, especially her card buddies: Gordon, Betty, Kathleen and Jane and special friends Mrs. Rosamund Ryan and Andy and Colleen Martin. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, Torbay. Visitation on Friday from 12 noon - 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Monday, May 26, 2008 at 10 a.m. from St. Michael's Church, Flatrock. Interment to follow at St. Michael's Cemetery, Flatrock. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
