Little Harbour - Donald Joseph Bennett, age 58, of Egypt Road, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at home. Born in Stephenville Crossing, Newfoundland, he was a son of the late Steven and Mary (Parsons) Bennett. He was an employee of Trenton Works, and had worked on a fish farm, did woodworking and general maintenance. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Lou Caldwell; daughter, Lilla, Three Brooks; son, Jarrad (Leslie), Saint Johns, NL; grandchildren, Brandon and Machela; sisters, Joan (Gerard) White, Fort Saskatchewan; Sylvia Wellon, Dartmouth; Phyllis (Leo) Haché, Truro; Bonnie (Hann) Klein, Coldbrook; Geraldine Delaney, Halifax; Debbie (Scott) White, Dartmouth; brothers, Wayne (Theresa) Bennett, Mount Thom; Joseph Bennett, Perry (Rose) Bennett, both of Dartmouth; brother-in-law, Ernie Wall, Cornerbrook, NL. He was predeceased by a sister, Claudine Wall. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton, from where funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery. No flowers by request, due to family allergies. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of choice.
