NEW GLASGOW - Dora Lenore "Len" Burns, age 82, of Frederick St., New Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Windsor, Ont., she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Vera (Boughner) Hill. She was a member of St. Augustine Anglican Church, Trenton, the church choir and was a member of L.O.B.A. Lodge Trenton for over 50 years. She served with the C.W.A.C. during the War. She is survived by her sister, Norma Lee "Peg" (John) Stone, Windsor, Ont.; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley Burns; sisters: Shirley, Lorraine, Frances and Marguerite; brothers: Ernest, Gordon, Bill and Raymond. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral service 10 a.m. Monday in St. Augustine Anglican Church, Trenton, with Rev. Bill White officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Augustine Anglican Church Building Fund or the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
