TRENTON - Dorothy Mae MacDonald, age 89, of the Glen Haven Manor and formerly of Trenton, passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital. Born in Trenton, she was a daughter of the late James and Ada (Langille) Earle. She was a former employee of Sunset Haven as a cook. She then worked with her husband in their restaurant in Trenton. She was a member of the First United Church, Trenton. She was very easy going and enjoyed to laugh. She is survived by her daughter, Genesta (Alex "Abby") Marshall, Deep Brook, NS; sons-in-law, Kenny Davidson, New Glasgow; Vernon Rumley, Westville; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ruth, Florida; Violet MacDonald, Aylesford; brother, Joe Earle, Halifax; friends at Glen Haven Manor. She was predeceased by her husband, John S. "Guy"; daughters: Winnie Davidson, Mildred Rumley and Virginia; granddaughter, Bonnie; grandson; Kenny; sister, Helen; dear friend, Agnes. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside committal service for family and friends will be held at 1 p.m. today in Hillside Cemetery with Rev. Debra Orton officiating. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, Trenton.
