Elenor May Macgregor

It is with great love and sadness that the family of Elenor MacGregor announces her passing on December 11th, 2007 at the age of 93. Mom was the eldest daughter of the late Duncan and Mae Fraser, Union Centre. Mom actively supported her community of Churchville. She was a 4-H leader, treasurer of the Churchville Cemetery Association, a Community Club member, a charter member of Churchville Women’s Institute, as well as a member of the Golden Glenn Senior’s Club. Mom was a member of Springville Presbyterian Church and the Springville Ladies Aid church group. The loving wife of the late Lloyd MacGregor, River Road, Churchville, mom and dad raised three children on the beautiful MacGregor family farm. Her loving children are: John (Arlene), Marion (John) Mahoney, Edith (Jerry) Turner. Mom was blessed with eight grandchildren. She was a special Nan to Robbie (Mary), Donnie (Kathryn), Bradley and Karen MacGregor, Jill (Cheyenne), Matthew (Nancy) Mahoney, Josh and Natasha Turner. Her “dear little boys”, great-grandsons, Hudson and Tanner MacGregor; also surviving are mom’s two devoted brothers, Bruce (Marjorie) and Willard (Joan), as well as numerous nieces and nephews and their families. Her two sisters and best friends, Marion Scott and Grace Fraser predeceased her. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Saturday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Springville Presbyterian Church with Rev. Don Shephard and Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Interment will be in the Churchville Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
