GREENWOOD – Florence Mae Bonvie, 82 of Greenwood, Pictou County, formerly of Thorburn, died Friday, April 18, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Guysborough, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Margaret “Maggie” Cresine. She is survived by daughters: Freda Smith (Bill Delaney), Truro; Margaret Kirk (Terry), Thorburn; Nellie Brennan (George), Thorburn; Lottie Murray (Dell), Stellarton; Mabel Bonvie-Cameron (Ricky), Plymouth; Hilda MacNeil (Don), Thorburn; Helen Bonvie, New Glasgow; a son, Lawrence (Helene) Bonvie, WestBank, BC; 23 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, a sister, Maude Cresine, Guysborough. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert Bonvie; a daughter, Doris Bonvie, Truro; a sister, Blanche Cresine, Guysborough, brothers, Westley Cresine, and John Cresine, both of Guysborough. Cremation to take place. The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, both in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, with Lori Crocker, Diaconal Minister officiating. Burial of ashes will take place in the Brookside Cemetery, New Glasgow. Family flowers only. Donations in memory of Florence may be made to the Valley View Villa, Riverton, or to the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Society.
