RIVERTON – Fokeltje “Follie” Dykstra-Oldenziel, 81, of Haven Brook Manor, Riverton, formerly of Little Harbour, passed away Monday, November 5th, 2007, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Holland, Follie was a daughter of the late Walter and Altje (Van der Heide) Bonnema. Follie was a resident of Haven Brook Manor for the past four years having previously lived in Little Harbour. Follie was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton. She is survived by sons: William (Johanna), Scotsburn; Walter (Innie), Hopewell; Arnold (Debbie), Black Point; Gerald (Susan), Ontario; John Dykstra and Mary Dykstra, Saskatchewan; daughter; Alice (Klass) Nieuwhof, Rustico, PE; grandchildren: Mark (Jennifer), Scotsburn; Jason, Toronto; Kevin (Janet), Great Village; Trevor (Rebecca), Seattle, Washington; Derek, Fort McMurray; Andrea, Ottawa; Janna-Leigh, Black Point; Pieter, Black Point; Christena, Black Point; Jonathan, ON; Mathew, ON; Ashley, ON; Gerard, Saskatoon; Jacqueline, Saskatoon; Julie, North Rustico, PE; Andrew, North Rustico, PE; six great-grandchildren; step-children: Ina Bromley, Cobden, ON; Mina (Jacob) Deveen, Pembroke, ON; Peter (Sylvia) Oldenziel, Beaverton, ON; Freda (Ronald) Stresman, Pembroke, ON; step-grandchildren: Bruce (Brenda) Bromley, Westmeath, ON; Brenda (Joseph) Steed, Peterborough, ON; John (Lizette) Drake, Ottawa, ON; Laurie Porter, NS; Allison Deveen, Pembroke, ON; Valerie (Stuart) Hull, Burlington, ON; Heather Oldenziel, Toronto, ON; Traci (Jeffrey) DiBattista, Edmonton, AB; Lisa (George) Erdis, Georgetown, ON; 11 step-great-grandchildren; sister, Corrie Brolsma, Holland; sister-in-law, Sjoukje Bonnema, Holland; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Pieter Dykstra in 1987; second husband; Pieter Oldenziel in 1996; brother, Gerrit Bonnema. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday in the First Presbyterian Church, Stellarton, with Rev. Charles McPherson officiating. Burial will be in the Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Alma. Donations in memory of Follie may be made to the First Presbyterian Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
