WESTVILLE - Gerald Matthew Campbell, 63, Westville, passed away August 7, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late Hugh R. and Myrtle (Garvin) Campbell. Gerald resided as a resident of Senior Citizens, Porter's Lane, and prior to that, Campbell's Road for many years. He worked at Maritime Steel, Clairtone, and Michelin Tire, then operated his own auto body shop, which was his hobby. He is survived by his cherished friend, Mary Brewer; girlfriend, Betty Rundle, Westville; daughter, Stephanie; son, Gerald Jr.; three grandchildren, Kevin, Rachel, Sharlene, Ontario. He is also survived by sisters: Charlotte Cech, Minn; Florence MacKenzie, Westville, Nora Harper (Joe), Sydney; Olga MacDonald (Burris), Salem; and brother, Francis (Cheryl), Lorne. He was predeceased by sister, Isabel Duff; brothers: Charles, Malcolm, Keith, Hugh, Walter, and Wilfred. Visitations will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, where his funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday with Father Donald Boudreau officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery. "May he soar with the eagles and fly with the angels".
