Woodburn – James Leslie Milne, age 80, of Woodburn Road, Woodburn, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in the Aberdeen Hospital Palliative Care Unit. Born in New Glasgow, he was the son of the late James Wilson and Edna Barbara (Baillie) Milne. He retired after 32 years as a truck driver from Warren Maritimes Ltd. and he farmed all of his life. He was a former member of the RCAF Club and the Royal Canadian Legion. He is survived by his wife, the former Elizabeth Mitchell; son, Les, New Glasgow; sister-in-law, Rose (George) Ross; brothers-in-law, Harvey Mitchell, Alvin Sinclair; numerous nieces and nephews. The family extends special thanks to nephew, David (Ellen) Sinclair, their children, Heidi, Sara and Mitchell; niece, Ellen Corbett; Margaret Milne; and the VON for all of their help and support in recent months. Cremation has taken place. Visitation 2-3 p.m. Friday in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow, from where funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Mr. Fergie MacKay officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society or the VON.
