NEW GLASGOW - James Albert "J" Reddick, age 63, of 191 Old Marsh Rd, New Glasgow, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2007, at home. Born in New Glasgow, he was a son of the late Allister Walter and Frances Olive (Jones) Reddick. He loved cars and was known as the King of Used Cars and was an outgoing people person. He served in the Canadian Armed Forces, PPCLI as a mechanical worker. He then worked as a steel worker for Maritime Steel, MacGregor Bedding and TrentonWorks. He was a member of Second United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, the former Evelyn Jackson; daughters: Phyllis Johnson (Vernon); Cora Louise Reddick (Duane); Evelyn Reddick (Trevor); Joy "Mamma" Desmond (Wayne); sons: Arthur; James (Susan); Jason; Johnathan (Keri); several grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters: Rosie Johnson; Frances Beals; Lois Stenge; Charla Dorrington; Bessie Milton; Wanda Reddick; brothers, Joseph Reddick; Allister "Att" Reddick; Melvin "Mitch" Reddick; Victor Reddick; Nolan Reddick; Neil Reddick; Nathan Reddick; aunt, Phyllis Patterson; uncle, Mearle Reddick. He was predeceased by his baby son, Justin Reddick; and son, James Albert Reddick Jr.; brother, Cecil "Buddy" Reddick; several aunts and uncles. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in the R.H. Porter Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service 2 p.m. Monday in Second United Baptist Church with Rev. Rhonda Britton officiating. Burial will be in Lorne Street Cemetery.
