MOUNT WILLIAM ROAD – James Percy Stewart, 74 of Mount William Road, Pictou County, died Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Mount William, Pictou County, he was a son of the late James William and Minnie (Davidson) Stewart. James was a resident of Mount William for the past 30 years. He worked at Maritime Steel for 18 years from where he retired. He was a member of the Christ Anglican Church in Stellarton. He is survived by his wife, the former Viola Dunn, Mount William; sons, James (Jean), Stellarton; Steven (Paula), Mount William; a daughter, Cecelia (David) Bernas, New Glasgow; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers: Harold, Stellarton; Charlie (Angela), Stellarton; John, Westville; George, River Hebert; a sister, Kathleen, Lansdowne. He was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. Cremation to take place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday from the H.W. Angus Funeral Home Chapel, New Glasgow, with Rev. Aidan Kingsbury officiating. Burial will be in Our Lady of Lourdes Parish cemetery. Donations in memory of James may be made to the Palliative Care Society of the Aberdeen Hospital, the Canadian Cancer Society, or to the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
