Janie Cameron (MacNeill) Bigney, 91, of the Valley View Villa, Riverton passed away January 18th, 2008, at the Villa. Born in Greenwood, N.S., Janie was a lady always known for a loving heart and an open door. She is survived by son, Simon “Sonny” (Louise) Bigney, Ont.; daughters, Jane Putta, California; Dolores Newton-Bigney, Quebec; Wanda Green, MacLellan's Mountain, N.S.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, numerous chosen children and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Daniel William Bigney and sons Clarence in infancy and Freddie. Cremation has taken place. The family has planned to have a celebration of her life in the spring. Donations in memory of Janie may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Arrangements are under the direction of the H. W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
