WESTVILLE – Jeanette Mae “Nettie” Goss, 95, Westville passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2008, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born in Westville on May 5, 1912, she was a daughter of the late Orrington and Martha (Bliss) Marsh. Nettie was a member of St. Paul United Church and at one time was active in the U.C.W. (Jean Grant Auxiliary). Also, for many years he was a volunteer canvasser for the N.S. Heart and Stroke Foundation and the Canadian Cancer Society. She will be remembered by her family as a very caring and loving mother and grandmother. Survived by three daughters, Jean Ferreira (Manual); Margaret Pembleton (John); Susan Giangualana (Tony); 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, William Hamilton, second husband, James Goss; infant son, David, and sons, John “Jack and William “Bill” Hamilton; sister, Jean Sutherland and brother John Marsh. The family would like to say a big “thank you” to great-niece Margie Langille for the care and companionship that she gave to mum over the past years. Also special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff of Glen Haven Manor who provided such excellent care. Visitations will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville. Her funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday from Eagles Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Doug Pilsworth officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, Westville.
