John Lawrence “Jack” Furlotte, age 65, of High St., Trenton, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2008, at home. Born in Campbellton, N.B., he was a son of the late Wallace and Imelda (Parker) Furlotte. He was a retired Safety Officer from the N.S. Dept. of Labour. He was a member of Christ the King Roman Catholic Church. He is survived by his common-law wife Theresa Shadbolt; daughter, Kim (Mike) Mahar, Moncton; son, Dean Furlotte, Connecticut; grandchildren: Melissa Gallant, Brandon Richard and Patrick Furlotte; great-granddaughter Ashlyn Gallant; sisters: Henriette Nickerson, North Bay, Ont.; Rose Myles, Plaster Rock, N.B.; Emily Cosack, Campbellton, NB; Madeliene Firlotte, Campbellton, N.B.; brothers: Al Firlotte, Tide Head, N.B.; Omer Furlotte, Newfoundland. Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Christ the King Cemetery, Trenton with Father Gary MacPherson officiating. Donations in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Palliative Care Society, the Canadian Cancer Society or the IWK. Arrangements are under the direction of the R.H. Porter Funeral Home Trenton.
