Jensen, K. Jean - Wallace / New Glasgow, passed away April 26, 2008, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow. Born December 21, 1905, in Fox Harbour, she was a daughter of the late Baxter and Etta (Gould) Robertson. Jean loved her family, her animals and her reading time. She especially enjoyed the springtime and the planting of flowers. Jean had attended St. Andrew’s United Church, Fox Harbour and St. John’s United Church, Wallace and was a life member of the UCW. She was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are son, Gordon (Dianna) Jensen, St. Catharine’s, Ont., their children, Gordon, Lee and Blake; son, David (Karen) Jensen, St. Catharine’s, Ont., their children, Scott, Brent and Shawn; daughter, Karen (Darrell) Brander, Little Harbour, Pictou Co., their children, Patricia and Stephen; daughter, Nancy (Michael) Hollis, Salt Springs, Pictou Co., their children, Jillian, Iain and Philip; 15 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Axel J. Jensen; sister, Marjorie Moremen; brothers, Gordon and Archibald Robertson. Visitation will be held this evening from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in Mundle’s Funeral Home, 204 Water St., Pugwash (243-2506). The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, in St. Andrew’s United Church, Fox Harbour with Pastor Mary MacDermid officiating. Burial in the Fox Harbour Community Cemetery at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Fox Harbour Community Cemetery Fund, the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of Canada or any charity.
