Passed away Feb. 3, 2008, at his home in Nova Scotia, formerly of Mount Carmel, retired naval officer Carl Fitzgerald in his 72nd year. Predeceased by his parents: Allan and Dinah. Brother: David and sister: Dominica. Left to mourn wife Marilyn, sons: Allan and David (Cathy), Nova Scotia; daughter Kelly (Larry) Florida; stepsons: Paul (Louise) Ontario, Robert (Laura) and Dane (Pam) of Nova Scotia. eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, former wife Iris McCann of Nova Scotia. Brothers: Ambrose (Gladys) Bryants Cove, Edward (Greta) Malton, Ontario, Frank (Betty), Reg (Mildred) Mount Carmel, Allan (Nadine) Nova Scotia. Sisters: Nellie (St. John's), Marg and Bish, Mount Carmel, Kay (Fran) Massachusetts and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Cremation to take place in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Burial to take place at Mount Carmel Cemetery later this summer.
