Mary Elizabeth Whitewood, 97, of Birchill Senior Citizens, Stellarton, passed away Monday, July 30th, 2007, at the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Stellarton, she was a daughter of the late James and Margaret (Campbell) Trott. Mary enjoyed spending time playing cards at the Seniors Complex. She was a member of Christ Anglican Church, Stellarton. Mary loved her family very much. Surviving are sister, Myrtle Terris, Stellarton; sons: Harold (Ann), Stellarton; Allan (Sharon), Mt. William; Sam (Alice), New Glasgow; John, Hamilton, ON; daughters: Ruby (Ron) Servos, Stellarton; Eleanor Nicholson, Stellarton; Marsha (Paul) Lisk, Kingston, ON; Linda Hatfield, Munroe Ave. Ext; Margie (Rodge) Doucette, Dartmouth; 113 grandchildren. Predeceased by husband Stanley; sons: John Robert in infancy, and Stan; daughters: Mary, Norma, Patricia "Seb" and Ann in infancy; grandchildren: David, Owen and Cheryl; brothers: Albert, James, Hiram and Fred; sisters: Margaret Marsh, Constance Fitt, Carolyn Heighton, Annie Lowrey, Emma Myers and Patricia Wyse. The family will receive visitors from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the H.C. MacQuarrie Funeral Home, Stellarton, from where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday with Rev. Bill White officiating. Burial will be in the Duff's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Mary may be made to the I. W. K. Children's Hospital.
