Born at Fortune Cove on Aug. 18, 1922, son of the late Joseph and Rose (Gallant) Wedge. Dear father of Rose (Pat) McNally, Cascumpec; Wayne (Cindy), Howlan; Sharon (Adrian) Lynch, Foxley River. Stepfather of Gary (Renate) Gallant, Louis (Sharon) Gallant; Lloyd (Marilyn) Gallant, all of Ontario; and Sheila (Ray) McKinnon, Charlottetown. Loving grandfather of Leo and Tyler Lynch, Kristie and Matthew Wedge. Step-grandfather of Jamie, Nicole and Jennifer Gallant. Brother of Ferdinand Wedge, Tignish. Brother-in-law of Lorraine (Lynn) Gallant, Howlan; Arnett (Kathleen) Gallant, Ont.; Joseph Gallant, Tignish; and Gene Gallant, Charlottetown. Resting at the Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours Wednesday 6-9 p.m. and Thursday until 10 a.m. then to St. Anthony’s Church, Woodstock, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
