Peacefully at the Garden Home on Thursday, February 23, 2012, of C. Jean MacKay of Parkdale, age 89 years. Wife of the late G. Stewart MacKay. Beloved mother of Connie MacKay-Carr (John), Carole (Irwin) Ellis, Gordon (Patricia), Marilyn (Brian) MacKay-Lyons and Lori (Steve) Loggie. Grandmother of Sarah and Alex Carr, Kate Ellis Ghiz (Robert) and Jeff (Carla) Ellis, Colleen MacKay, Laura (Josh) Egan, Diana MacKay, Heather MacKay, Renee, Alison, and Matthew MacKay-Lyons and John and Rachael Loggie. Great-grandmother of Julia and Emma Ghiz and Kallen and Aela Carr. Sister of Howard (Dorothy) Ross and Earl Ross and sister–in-law of Nan Ross, Elaine Ross and Ada Ross. Predeceased by brothers Donald, Albert, Charles, Lincoln and Garfield Ross and sisters–in-law Rolla, Kay and Fay Ross. Resting at MacLean Funeral Home Swan Chapel. Funeral Saturday from Park Royal United Church at 11 a.m. Interment later in the People’s Cemetery. Family flowers only, however if so desired memorials to the UPEI School of Nursing would be appreciated. No visiting hours by request.
